Welcome to open path counseling.

Whether it is your first time to therapy or returning, I welcome you to start or continue your journey.

your life, your path, your growth.

Welcome!

Hello! I am Lauren Hill-Harris and am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) in the state of Kansas. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I know that life can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for help is a big step—I’m here to meet you where you are, with warmth, understanding, and a little humor when needed.

I approach therapy to meet clients where they are and their identified goals. I am an LGBTQIA ally and neuroaffirming therapist. I help a variety of people in different stages of life such as college students, busy moms, overwhelmed professionals, neurodivergent adults, and more to navigate life’s challenges, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change. I work with adults (18+), couples, and families.

If you are new to therapy or returning to the therapeutic process, I would be honored to work with you in your journey of personal growth. Please call the direct office number at (316) 247-9578, email directly lhh@openpathcounseling.com, or fill in the Secure Contact Form to determine if I am a good fit for your therapeutic needs.

ADHD…I see you, I hear you

I am an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider with extensive training in the field and bring this knowledge into the therapeutic setting when working with clients who have ADHD, those who love someone with ADHD, and those who suspect they might have ADHD. I see you, I hear you.

In adult relationships, whether romantic, friendships, workplace, or family dynamics, the symptoms of ADHD can create misunderstandings, frustrations, and emotional disconnects.

ADHD can often lead to a parent-child dynamic where the non ADHD partner/friend/family member feels they have to take on more responsibilities.

Therapy can be beneficial for managing ADHD and improving relationships by helping individuals/couples/parents with coping strategies, emotion regulation, cognitive distortions, address challenges in daily life, and more.

Individuals with ADHD may have co-existing conditions such as:

  • anxiety and depression

  • learning disabilities (dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc),

  • oppositional defiant disorder or conduct disorder

  • sensory processing difficulties.

Individuals with ADHD face a variety of challenges that can impact various aspects of their lives such as:

  • attention and focus,

  • impulsivity and self control

  • organization and time management

  • hyperactivity/hyperfocus

  • emotional and social challenges

  • work, school struggles, and sleep issues.
